Facts on the shop floor, not on paper
Lucyna joined Development and Progress in February 2019. Previously, for 5 years, she dealt with logistics systems in Katowice. With us, she makes sure that software in the factory doesn't interfere with the work. Her work starts with putting on a helmet and going out to the hall. Lucyna doesn't design pretty pictures. She designs buttons that an operator in thick gloves will hit the first time.
In 2023, Lucyna conducted 87 hours of observation directly at production lines. Thanks to her improvements at one plant near Częstochowa, the time to enter waste data dropped from 4 minutes to 55 seconds. This allowed foremen to regain nearly 3 hours in every work week. Lucyna always repeats: the system must work on the shop floor, not just look pretty on the CEO's monitor.
Battle-tested solutions
Since she has been with us, Lucyna has closed 34 large interface projects for machines and reporting systems. She doesn't use big words. If something is too complicated, she simply throws it out. In March 2024, she implemented a new control panel in an automotive parts company in Tychy. The result? The number of operator mistakes when selecting a mold dropped by 22% in the first month.
- Reduction of reporting errors by 18% in 5 plants in 2024.
- Conducted 14 usability audits of operator panels in the last quarter.
- Trained 112 employees on using new digital tools.
- Developed a click standard that cuts failure reporting time in half.
Privately, Lucyna lives in Gliwice and values simplicity. She brings the same principle to projects for our clients. If something can be explained in two sentences, she doesn't write a ten-page manual. At Development and Progress, she ensures that the marketing and tools we provide are simply useful for the people who use them every day.
